Bateria61 - Sydney's newest Samba Band is performing at coogee beach in Sydney today

If you like to listen to some samba and watch or play some football then you could be in for a treat today!

New South Wales Police Force are having a "Beach Football Tournament" with the Latin American Youth Communities to promote good vibes in Sydney

The guys from Bateria61 will be playing some samba and also the girls from Rhythm Brasil will be performing as well.

Sydney Samba Band - Bateria61 performing in Darling Harbour in Sydney

Sydney's latest samba band www.bateria61.com was leading the crowds from the Ritmo festival in Darling Harbour to the officially after party. Obviously Bateria61 had to stop on route to play some samba! Here is a short video of Bateria61 playing some samba in Darling Harbour during the Ritmo Brasilian festival in September 2013

Bateria 61 Beginner's Sessions - all welcome :-)

Bateria61 hold regular beginners sessions once every month, usually on the first Saturday practice.
This is open to all levels, and you don't have to be an expert drummer!  The beginner's samba band session in Sydney lasts for about three hours and that will give you a great idea if it is something you will like

Hello world and welcome to the home of sambagino new blog about all things samba and other silly things.  I currently live in Sunny Sydney and we have a small samba scene here.

Over the coming months I will be posting bits and pieces about Sydney's Samba scene and how with a few hardcore members are trying to promote the wonderful world of playing in a samba band in Sydney to anybody looking to have a go.
